Dr. Steven Shamah, M,D., is an internationally recognized leader in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, currently serving as Director of Endoscopy at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. A graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine, Dr. Shamah also leads as Chief of Endobariatric Endoscopy at Beilinson Hospital in Israel, an affiliate of Tel Aviv University, and chairs the Israeli Gastroenterology Association’s Endoscopy Committee. He is a pioneer in advanced endoscopic procedures, having been the first outside the U.S. to perform the X-Tack procedure. Dr. Shamah specializes in EMR, ESD, POEM, Zenker Myotomy, ERCP, and therapeutic EUS, and he actively contributes to ongoing research and publications in peer-reviewed journals while training physicians in advanced techniques.
