Hailing from Valdosta, Georgia, Lusharon Wiley joined the Innisfree team as Director of Culture in 2017. Lusharon holds an undergraduate degree from Tuskegee University, a Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and a doctorate from the University of West Florida in Diversity Studies. She also is a graduate of the Social Justice Training Institute, the Leadership Challenge, Donald Gehring Institute and Leadership Pensacola.
Several community activists held a virtual townhall Tuesday night to talk about race concerns in the community. They want to shed light on what was revealed in this year’s ‘Quality of Life’ study just released by Pensacola Young Professionals. Caption: WEAR. About 800 community members of different races, political affiliations, ages and backgrounds were asked a list of questions. They range from the quality of available healthcare to jobs.
Unfortunately there weren’t any surprises in the responses. The good news though is you put it out there. I also think it’s important that you surfaced the issue so that we can talk about that issue.
