Elizebeth Varghese is a futurist, people & technology strategist, and Principal and Co-leader of the Cloud Enabled Workforce team at Deloitte. She also leads Human Capital Services for the Space Sector. As a business leader, trusted c-suite advisor, and board director, Elizebeth furthers people & technology strategies with solutions in artificial intelligence, blockchain and robotics - for organizations that operate around the world, and in space. She is recognized as a global Top 100 Influencer for her continuing thought leadership in HR strategy and analytics. Prior to her current position at Deloitte, Elizebeth led IBM’s Talent and HR Transformation Strategy team, focusing on client services in the Americas and globally. She was also the community leader for IBM’s Space Exploration Services.

Elizebeth grew up in India, where her parents worked as scientists for India’s nuclear research agency. Growing up, she read everything she could lay her hands on and spent countless evenings watching the stars. She learned that the intentional use of science and technology can eliminate the multigenerational impact of racial and economic disparities. Elizebeth strives to pay her love and knowledge of science forward, center humanity at the heart of all her endeavors, and hopes to uncover the magnitude of what we don’t know and still need to learn.

She is a Board member and Co-Chair of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee at Columbia Business School, Women’s Circle. Elizebeth is also on the Council of Advisors at the SETI Institute, which works with NASA and other space agencies to explore, understand, and explain the origin and nature of life in the universe. Elizebeth champions space exploration education and programs. She is a Board member at SAYA (South Asian Youth Action), a non-profit organization providing after-school programming, education and college support.

Elizebeth has MBAs from the Columbia Business School as well as the London Business School, UK. She also has a Masters from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India, and a Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
