Elle is the Co-Founder of Gem House Salon. She has been working in the hair industry for almost 20 years now. She has always loved all that comes along with being a part of a team in a salon and the hair industry is endless in all of the ways it allows you to tap into different facets of it. She has done shows during Fashion Week, Freelance Editorial, and has been the lead stylist for numerous weddings on location and in salon.
In 2019 Elle and her husband Kyle, while sitting at a local cocktail bar decided now or never would be the time to open a salon. Something they spoke about over the years but with the right timing and the mix of how much they loved their neighborhood of Greenpoint, BK, Kyle’s recent career change, and the fact that they wanted to work together they decided to go for it and shake up their lives a bit. Add a cute little baby into the mix, a pandemic and a new salon and you have Elle and Kyle’s 2020. Now a year into the business Gem House, an eco-friendly salon is in full swing with community focused events, monthly retail shop pop-ups, a locally curated coffee/tea and drinks bar with an in house beer on tap (brewed by Kyle) as well as a second rotating tap.
