Dr. Emerson Wickwire is the Section Head of Sleep Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center and a professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Wickwire is an internationally recognized expert in sleep and sleep disorders who has published over 140 articles, including more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles, eight book chapters and dozens of articles for medical professional on topics such as sleep health economics, cardiovascular and brain health, home sleep apnea testing and sleep in the workplace. He serves on the editorial boards of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, SLEEP, and Sleep Review and is associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Wickwire also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) as well as the Sleep Medicine Advisory Committee of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
