I am deeply committed to improving financial wellness through innovative research and learning. I lead our research initiatives on financial wellness and behavior change, and strive to enhance the client experience. I serve as a subject matter expert in the field of financial planning, reviewing and authoring peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and contributing to public scholarship. Most recently serving as a co-author for the CFP Board's book, released as study material for the latest addition to the CFP® exam, The Psychology of Financial Planning.
Prior to my career in FinTech I served as an Assistant Professor teaching courses in personal financial planning. I contributed to the development of empirically designed financial curriculums, created formal rubrics for feedback and analysis of workshops and instruction, and designed financially informed Toolkits.
Additionally, I spent time working in the financial planning field. This experience provides me with the competency to engage in a broad range of financial topics and my ability to effectively connect and translate complex financial knowledge in a simplified manner.
