Emy Kane is the Managing Director of award-winning nonprofit Lonely Whale, an organization that develops data-driven campaigns and programs to prevent plastic from entering the ocean. As a founding team member, Emy developed and launched the organization’s viral #StopSucking challenge, designed and grew the organization’s youth leadership program, and supported corporate partnerships with Bacardi Limited, Live Nation, ATTN:. Emy’s expertise as a digital strategist – and her ability to translate hard-to-grasp issues around ocean health into creative, digestible content – has mobilized people of all ages and backgrounds to take action through Lonely Whale’s educational campaigns. She has also served as a thought leader on communicating impact at Global Citizen Movement Makers Summit, PVBLIC Foundation’s Media for Social Impact Summit, and the 3rd UN Environment Assembly.
