Eric received his Engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, France, in 1984, and a PhD degree in electrical engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, in 1990. In 1990, he joined the Signal and Image processing department at Télécom ParisTech where he became a full professor in 1996. In 2015, he joined the Applied Mathematics Center of Ecole Polytechnique, where he is currently a professor in statistics.
