First generation Ethiopian-American Eyob was inspired by fashion, sewing and watching runway shows, from an early age in Boston, MA. He started his career in fashion at Yves Saint Laurent’s Public Relations department, and pivoted to the fashion editorial and beauty sector which introduced him to the world of celebrity. His styling craft was honed serving as freelance market editor for Interview Magazine and bolstered by apprenticeships with renowned stylists such as Marie-Amelie Sauve, Karl Templer, Lori Goldstein, Patti Wilson, Marni Senofonte, Arianne Phillips and B Akerlund. With over 12 years in the industry, Eyob’s business education background only supports his expertise in the industry, which has led to notable accomplishments such as costume design for Beyonce’s Formation tour and Madame X’s world tour and most recently personal styling for Madonna.
Fashion has always been a part of her storytelling. So we drew from her past stylistically, and we kept those themes within the costumes.
