John Cassa, Co-Owner of ABM Equipment Co., is a leading industry specialist for product inspection X-ray including process engineering, application development and product traceability.

Starting his career with Bratney in agricultural grain handling systems, John Cassa spent several years as their top sales engineer before venturing out on his own. Seeing that food and beverage producers were having to juggle equipment manufacturers, installers, and fabricators, John founded ABM Equipment with partner Jeff Walling to bring all these functions under one roof.

As ABM grew, John developed ABM’s X-ray division into Eagle PI’s largest distributor, applications developer, and service provider. Intent on optimizing each machine to the customer’s needs, John’s team has become responsible for a number of now widely-adopted X-ray solutions such as pipeline and meat chub X-ray.

John also leads the development of X-ray software package, DSO Sentinel. In addition to practical access to machine data, DSO sends reports and alerts to QA managers and streamlines product traceability.
