I am a former collegiate baseball player at Tulane University. A torn UCL sidelined my athletic career, leading to a grey-shirt year and a necessary shift in focus. During my time at Tulane, I became the president of my social fraternity and was inducted into a prestigious business fraternity, sharpening my leadership and organizational skills. I graduated with a finance degree and a real estate minor, making the dean's list several times.

After graduating, I began my professional career at JPMorgan as a Data Domain Architect, where I gained invaluable experience in corporate operations and data management. Eager to expand my skill set and explore hands-on work, I transitioned into an electrician apprenticeship. This experience deepened my appreciation for craftsmanship, problem-solving, and the home service industry.

Brother Brands

I am now focused on building and scaling companies under my holding company, Brother Brands, which brings together innovative businesses across home services, e-commerce, local news, and digital marketing.

Bear Brothers Cleaning is one of Brother Brands’ flagship ventures, providing top-tier cleaning services in Alabama. After completing my electrician apprenticeship, the business was born from my desire to enter the home services industry. Cleaning aligned perfectly with my ambitions, requiring no additional years of schooling and offering an opportunity to provide exceptional service to homeowners.

Since its launch, Bear Brothers Cleaning has earned over 100 5-star reviews and expanded its reach through additional lead-generation websites, including Cleaning Services Huntsville, House Cleaning Birmingham, Cleaning Services Montgomery, and Cleaning Services Mobile. The company prides itself on delivering homes that are “Beary Clean.”

Fireplace Distributor, part of Brother Brands, specializes in premium fireplaces that elevate and warm homes. It works seamlessly with its sister company, The Trade Table, to provide integrated solutions for homeowners, ensuring style, comfort, and functionality.

In response to a Google Search update that disrupted one of my earlier projects, I created Homely Media to build direct connections with local communities. This pivot from relying on Google for customer acquisition to owning my audience inspired the launch of Homely Huntsville and Homely Birmingham, as well as local newsletters and directory websites.

Homely Huntsville now serves over 1,000 subscribers, offering tailored content for the community. The accompanying directory bridges the gap between local businesses and customers, empowering small businesses and creating sustainable engagement.

Through my journey with The Trade Table and Bear Brothers Cleaning, I developed expertise in digital marketing, particularly in SEO and PPC strategies. I further honed these skills by managing marketing for my father’s companies, TriHaz Solutions and Plastic Fusion, gaining deep insight into lead generation and digital growth.

This led to the launch of Tradesmen Agency, a marketing agency dedicated to tradesmen and service-based businesses, and SEO for Hotel, a boutique agency specializing in digital marketing for hotels. These ventures reflect my passion for marketing and my ability to align personal interests with professional goals.

  • Expert Tips for Storing Your Duvet This Summer
Forrest advises cleaning your duvet first to remove oils and dust mites. Use The Laundress Signature Detergent for a gentle wash. Fold neatly to prevent lumps, and choose vacuum bags for synthetic duvets or cotton bags for natural fills. Store in a cool, dry, dark place like under the bed or in a ventilated closet.
  • Master the 20/10 Cleaning Method and Vacuum Like a Pro
Forrest emphasizes the 20/10 method: clean for 20 minutes, break for 10. "Consistency and preparation are key." For vacuuming, he advises slowing down to let the machine work, maintaining equipment, and vacuuming in multiple directions for thorough cleaning.
  • Decoding "Dry Clean Only": Expert Tips for Home Washing
Forrest explains that while washing "dry clean only" clothes can be risky, some fabrics like silk and polyester blends can be hand-washed with care. "Avoid washing structured pieces, leather, and heavily embellished garments." Labels often serve as legal protection rather than fabric necessity. Always test a hidden area first and use cold water.
