Frank's POV on AI:
* Once AI and machine learning tools advance, they will have the potential to help automatically create and adjust those rules with minimal human oversight, which will be of great service to internal teams.
* AI is a great tool for businesses grappling with talent shortages, including those in the marketing, analytics, and security spaces.
* AI will enable CIOs and their teams to shift focus away from tactical and/or repetitive work towards creating innovative solutions for their teams and customers.
* AI allows us to create an environment where anyone can instruct it to execute a task within seconds, which can easily lead to things like IP, copyright, and patent infringement risk. CIOs will have to build governance around AI, working closely with legal and product teams to build fences around AI applications and ensure that they are compliant with security standards.
* Customers and partners want to know that they’re working with a company that is safe and knows the space, so it’s important to for companies to safely test new technologies by using fake data sets - similar to their own data - so that they can tweak models and programs to work best for their business before real data gets involved.
How important are specific certifications? “To me, it’s more about internal motivation and the ability to produce results, not how many certificates you’ve earned.”
