Frank Williamson is founder and CEO of Oaklyn Consulting, a boutique investment banking firm that he founded in 2016 to fill a gap in qualified investment banking advice for founders/CEOs, venture capital investors and nonprofit leaders.

Oaklyn plans and executes complex transactions for small- and medium-sized companies under private ownership, including mergers, acquisitions, capital-raising, recapitalizations, and lender and investor relations. By working as consultants, not brokers, Oaklyn helps in situations where traditional investment bankers typically cannot.

Before founding Oaklyn Consulting, Frank was a managing partner at FourBridges Capital Advisors, a small investment banking firm that was over-burdened with debt coming out of the recession. Along with his partners, Frank successfully helped FourBridges double its revenue, triple its sales pipeline and quadruple its transaction volume.

Frank also previously served as a finance, investment, strategy and operations executive at Unum, a Fortune 500 insurance company, managing its balance sheet during the Credit Crisis in ’08 and ’09 and building the company through acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring.

As a professional services firm manager, he has started businesses, grown them, and helped turn them around, in one case assisting his colleagues in doubling revenue, tripling the sales pipeline, and quadrupling transaction volume, and in another, reaching #35 on the Inc. 500 list.

  • Seth and I worked together at Unum, and I was always impressed with his financial acumen. Equally important to our firm is Seth's ability to forge strong relationships and to coach people through complex transactions.
