I'm a entrepreneur and healthcare transformation thought leader who brings a unique perspective to medicine's most pressing challenges. As founder and former CEO of Mercatus, I built and scaled the company from a kitchen-table startup to the leading private equity asset management platform, culminating in its acquisition by State Street, a global leader with 11.5% of the world's financial assets flowing through their systems.

Born in India and raised in New Hampshire, I earned my electrical engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame. My 25-year Silicon Valley technology leadership journey spans semiconductor executive roles at PMC-Sierra, Agilent, and WJ Communications, where I developed the pattern recognition and systems thinking skills that became essential for starting Mercatus.

My transformation from software tech entrepreneur to healthcare innovator began with a personal 55-year medical mystery that stumped twelve doctors across multiple specialties. My engineering mindset led me to recognize a fundamental flaw in modern medicine: the lack of comprehensive diagnostic specialists who view patients as complete systems rather than isolated symptoms.

At Mercatus, critical information was scattered across email threads, document rooms, and thousands of Excel spreadsheets. My software connected these disparate data sources, revealing insights invisible when viewed in isolation for private equity asset managers. The same skills that made me successful in business became exactly what I needed to save my own life when conventional medicine reached its limits.

Following my healing journey, I'm launching Diagnostic MD AI, applying the same pattern recognition principles that transformed financial markets to healthcare's diagnostic fragmentation problem. I advocate for integrating conventional medicine with breakthrough methodologies that address underlying causes rather than treating symptoms.

I'm currently in the editing stage of "The Ghost in My Body, My 55-Year Journey to Healing" - my first book chronicling the journey from career setback to entrepreneurial success and profound healing

  • In the post-tsunami economy, Japan has been undergoing an epic energy transformation in an attempt to shift away from its reliance on Nuclear power generation. Almost overnight the market became extremely competitive as both local and international developers looked for opportunities to deploy capital. As these firms have grown, however, they have faced similar market dynamics as peers in other regions: increasing competition, margin pressure, and increased risk. As executives come under pressure to continuously grow their portfolios without increasing headcount, they look to technology providers like us to help them continue to achieve scale and profitability in this new, dynamic market economy.
