Heidrun Mumper-Drumm is an experienced, multi-disciplinary designer and educator focused on sustainability and regenerative systems that restore and support people and a healthy planet. Her interests led to a career connecting environmental engineering, design, art-making, research and teaching. Her ability to “see the whole” is driving her recent work which includes an aspirational ten-year sustainability plan, campaign and a new and integrated sustainability curriculum for future product designers. Heidrun has had the honor to participate in and collaborate with several sustainability groups and currently is chair of Los Angeles’ chief sustainability officer task force.
Heidrun teaches classes about our climate futures, product/service life cycles and the role of the creative professional. She shares these sustainability explorations with colleagues and has built an international reputation by speaking and leading design practice and education workshops. She also acts as a hub for sustainability learning, experimentation and action that engages artists, designers and others as stewards of a healthy Earth and just society.
