Helga is a US attorney licensed in Florida and Washington, DC, now living in Bonn, Germany. She has in-depth knowledge of US and EU data privacy laws gained through private practice and serving in the American court system. At HewardMills, she serves as data protection and privacy director and has successfully advised clients across different jurisdictions on data protection compliance, transparency, and accountability.
She is also a highly-respected author, who was written extensively on data protection laws, international tax compliance and rule of law. She is also passionate about protection of cultural property and speaks French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Albanian and German. Helga holds a JD from UC Hastings, a PhD from Florida International University, and a BA/MA from Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
