Houbing is an IEEE Fellow and Co-Editor-in-Chief (2025-2027) for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (IF=11.7). He is the Director of the Security and Optimization for Networked Globe Laboratory (SONG Lab, www.SONGLab.us). Houbing' s current research activities are focused on advances in several fields of rapid technology development, notably AI/machine learning/big data analytics, cybersecurity and privacy, and cyber-physical systems/internet of things.
