Imge is a data scientist whose prior experience ranges from creating apps for the United Nations to studying the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EV.)

While trading cryptocurrencies for fun, she developed an app that forecasted her 10 favorite coins out multiple weeks to aid her trading decisions. This became the prototype for Defy Trends, a platform that now encompasses data analytics and education alongside forecasting.

Most recently, Imge worked at the United Nation’s Global Migration Data Analysis Center as a Data Scientist. There, she developed data visualizations, apps, and research methodologies to study the migration patterns for millions of migrants worldwide.

Imge received her Masters in Quantitative Methods and Econometrics at the Global Policy and Strategy School at the University of California, San Diego. While studying for her masters, Imge served as a Research Assistant for the Deep De-Carbonization Initiative and Migration Research Unit at the University of California, San Diego. Her accomplishments included analyzing and processing data from a survey of Electric Vehicle adopters using the R programming language. Prior to studying for her masters, Imge received her Bachelors in Economics from Bilkent University, which is one of the top colleges in Turkey. Imge was born in Turkey.
