Jameel Ahmad is the Global Head of Currency Strategy and Market Research at FXTM. Since joining the company in May 2014 as Chief Market Analyst, he has played a key role in building the international profile of FXTM across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia through media tours, broadcast interviews and seminars. Specialising in financial market developments, with a particular emphasis on global currencies, commodities and emerging markets, Jameel is relied on for his insight into the financial markets.
Jameel holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies with Accountancy & Finance from the University of the West of England. He received the prestigious Iacocca scholarship to represent the United Kingdom at a leadership and cultural training program in the United States, before later being selected to act as a delegate for the United Kingdom for the Education Without Borders conference in the United Arab Emirates. More recently, he completed an executive education course in Unconventional Monetary Policy at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
What we do know is that emerging markets are having to contend with a tornado of different external headwinds, and these including persistent trade tensions that are adding further downside anxieties to economies that are reliant on resilient global demand.
