James Evans | Source | Director, Head of AI at Amplitude

James is Amplitude’s Director of Product Management and was the CEO and founder of Command AI, fka as Command Bar. Command AI was acquired by Amplitude in October 2024. In his role at Amplitude, James helps ensure the company’s software is easier to adopt and navigate with AI-powered user assistance. In 2020, James started Command AI alongside Vinay Ayyala and built the next generation of digital adoption technology by putting the user first and using AI to personalize their experience. He started his career in private equity investing at Bain Capital and studied computer science at Princeton.
