James H Hunter III is Bostrom Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he is an adjunct assistant professor of business. He has taught entrepreneurship courses at UW-M’s Lubar College of Business since the late 1990s, and has mentored students and others as they have purchased or started a business. Hunter has started several businesses and sold two of them for significant profits in his long entrepreneurial career. He is currently the president/managing member of three companies. Hunter earned a BS in civil engineering from Purdue University, was commissioned as an officer in the Civil Engineer Corps of the U.S. Navy, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
