James Thorman is General Manager and Senior Vice President of Home Care & Healthcare at A Place for Mom, leading the charge for helping families hire in-home professional caregivers through the company’s network of 3,300 home care agencies. He is on track to grow our Home Care provider network by 5X.

James began his career at A Place for Mom in 2019, working hand in hand with leadership to guide initiatives that enhanced the industry, just when Covid-19 arrived. James led efforts that increased site traffic and conversion, as well as online reviews, bringing more families into senior care through online searches, and helping them make better senior care decisions based on the experiences of others who have found success with senior living.

Prior to A Place for Mom, James was a Case Team Leader with Bain & Co. where he worked on projects with healthcare, pharmaceutical, and private equity clients.

James earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
