Jana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor with a master’s degree in social work from Smith College. Jana specializes in treating post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders. With experience in therapeutic roles throughout Mountainside’s continuum, she is especially skilled at navigating complex family dynamics and supporting veterans as well as healthcare and wellness professionals. Jana ensures clients receive quality, individualized treatment by supporting staff development and training. In her sessions, she draws from Acceptance Commitment Therapy, as well as utilizes EMDR and somatic and experiential therapies. Additionally, she incorporates mindfulness and breathwork through her experience as a yoga teacher. She also co-chairs the Addictions Committee for the National Association of Social Workers of Connecticut. Jana enjoys practicing meditation and traveling with her family.
