I am a clinical psychologist researching misophonia (strong negative reactions to repetitive sounds like eating and breathing).
I am the author of the book, Sounds Like Misophonia: How to stop small noises from causing extreme reactions, which made the top 100 of all books on Amazon in the week of its release.
I set up the first two misophonia services within specialist psychology clinics in the NHS. My research is looking at the aspects of misophonia that cause severe distress and impairment, and how therapy can help to improve this.
I can talk about my own experience of misophonia, the latest science on the topic, top tips to deal with sounds, and how nearly one in five people have misophonia but only a small percentage suffer on a daily basis.
