"Time and again I have seen in a variety of analyses I have done, the importance effective career and development coaching conversations have in terms of driving performance, feelings of belonging, and retention - from as early as 30 days on the job to at 20+ years.
What I haven't seen is companies really investing in a learning culture that supports managers to be able to have these conversations. With increasing demands on providing a viable future as a reason to stay at one's company, the stakes are even higher, and yet often leaders and managers are not getting the development and support they need to develop others effectively."
