Jen is Co-Founder of The Spirit of Manchester Distillery. Originally from Warrington, she held previous roles in Finance and then moved into marketing working for Swinton, Bupa and then a small digital marketing agency, before founding The Spirit of Manchester with her husband Seb, in 2015.
Having discovered small-batch gin distillation which ignited the spark that is now Manchester Gin, Seb and Jen started distilling gin from their dining room, looking to make 800 bottles a year.
By 2017, demand for the product had pushed the couple to manufacture over 25,000 bottles from their dining room, winning a Gold at the Spirit Masters for micro-distillery. They then moved from their dining room to a small distillery on the outskirts of the city centre.
In 2019, and realising the need for a larger premises, they opened The Spirit of Manchester Distillery in Manchester city centre, a state-of-the-art distillery capable of producing a million bottles a year.
