  • Barefoot Shoes: A Path to Stronger, Healthier Feet
Jenifer explains that barefoot shoes allow feet to function naturally, promoting strength and mobility. Recommended brands include Vivobarefoot and Xero Shoes for their minimalist design. Key features to look for are a wide toe box, thin sole, flat base, and flexibility. Transitioning should be gradual, and persistent pain should prompt a visit to a podiatrist.
  • Bunion Relief: Expert Tips on Choosing the Right Shoes
Dr. Perez emphasizes the importance of wide toe box shoes for bunion relief, allowing toes to splay and improve alignment. She advises, "Avoid larger sizes; opt for soft uppers instead." Orthotics may help, but strengthening exercises and toe spacers are key. Recommended brands include Vivobarefoot, Lems, and Altra Running. Enhance foot health with these expert tips.
  • Socks in Bed: Sleep Aid or Toe Trouble?
Dr. Jen says wearing socks can improve sleep by keeping feet warm, especially for those with poor circulation. However, she warns, "socks can restrict movement of the toes." She recommends toe socks for warmth without restriction, offering a cozy solution for better sleep.
