Previously, Jessica served as the Vice President of Global Communications & Engagement Marketing at Etsy, where she led a global team of 40+ employees and 20+ agencies. Her remit spanned corporate, crisis, impact (DEI), brand and internal communications, social media, community, influencer and celebrity relations, and partnerships. She shaped corporate and brand image while cultivating company culture and created authentic narratives such as Etsy's turnaround story to Wall Street Darling, to change perceptions and drive behavior using earned/owned/paid channels. Jessica drove global reorganization to optimize impact, lower budget, and enhance team engagement during COVID. Under her leadership, media results increased by over 2,000% and social results by 600%.
Prior to Etsy, Jessica was the Vice President of Communications at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where she led communications for Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), digital, partnership, and technology. She managed a team of three employees and three agencies and built and executed an "Innovation" narrative strategy that collaborated with brand, growth, and divisional communications teams to weave consistent messaging through stories. Jessica served on a 24/7 Corporate Crisis Response Team, handling incidents of terrorism, natural disasters, civil unrest, and major crimes. Under her leadership, SPG achieved an all-time high of 62% media Share of Voice in 2015.
