J Zhang joined the Department of Automotive Engineering at Clemson University in October 2019. He obtained his BSc and PhD in Mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, and PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. He was a lecturer at the Shanghai Jiaotong University during 2000-2002, then a post-doc researcher in a number of universities before he moved to the University of Pretoria in 2006, where he was appointed as a research fellow, a senior lecturer and eventually an associate professor. He moved to the University of Strathclyde in 2013, and then the University of Technology Sydney in 2016.
