Jim works as an advisor to high net worth families and individuals, with a focus on wealth management and financial planning. Jim works to earn the lifelong trust of his clients, strongly believing that financial success is as much a function of avoiding obvious mistakes as it is about making specialized investments. He specializes in creating wealth management strategies aimed at helping clients achieve their long term financial goals and objectives. His focus is a planning based approach incorporating cash flow, retirement and estate planning concepts into a customized framework to best achieve client goals.
Prior to joining GenTrust, Jim was a First Vice President of Investments at Merrill Lynch, where he spent over ten years advising clients in the creation, implementation and ongoing management of their financial planning goals and investment objectives. Jim also spent five years on the Institutional Fixed Income desk at Merrill Lynch, working with corporate clients of the firm executing on their fixed income investment positioning.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Binghamton University and an MBA from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner, CFP® and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC® designations.
