The Anti-Advisor Advisor. Jocelyn is dedicated to offering a refreshingly different financial services experience and holistic financial planning support with cash flow, college, investing, retirement, insurance, charitable gifting and tax planning. She is a Certified Retirement Counselor and financial wellness missionary serving as equal parts advisor, planner, coach and guide. Jocelyn became a financial advisor in 2004 and has worked for large corporations including Securian Financial, Wells Fargo Advisors and Nationwide Financial, as well as boutique firms and nonprofits. She has led numerous educational workshops and webinars, written articles for financial media and served as a guest financial expert on TV and radio. With genuine and infectious enthusiasm, she excels in communicating complex and intimidating financial concepts in an easier-to-understand, relatable and motivating way.
Jocelyn learned the hard way how to survive in a male-dominated industry that, in her opinion, caters too much to competitive and pushy personalities and is riddled with hidden agendas and conflicts of interest. She is now joyfully representing a women-owned, independent, fee-only and fiduciary firm with a focus on helping women in transition. Jocelyn is also a empathetic member of the "Sandwich Generation" and loves being able to provide some relief to fellow members who are also juggling the many demands of life in society today. She understands the compounded stress of caring for children and aging parents while managing a career, a home, marriage, divorce (in many cases) and trying to maintain personal wellbeing.
Jocelyn is a native of Philadelphia and has a bachelor's degree in journalism and communications from Temple University. She is a mom of two kids and two rescued mutts and splits her time between Phoenix and New Mexico. Her interests include enjoying the outdoors, practicing yoga and meditation, non-fiction, musical theater, golf and baking.
