John Bear is the Chief Development Officer at Alphia, managing the day-to-day operations of the company including operational strategies, ensuring efficiency in achieving business goals, improving internal processes, crisis management, and more. John brings thirty-three years of experience in pet care manufacturing from his previous leadership roles with Nestlé Purina. He spent the first fifteen years of his career in factory operations concentrating on buying, transportation, quality, production, and factory management. Following this, he undertook a three-year international assignment, during which he was responsible for supply chain management and IT for the Americas. After returning to the States, he joined the Quality Assurance Department, later becoming Vice President of Quality for Nestle Purina, overseeing North & South America. John also was VP & Director of Manufacturing – North America; before his retirement, John served as Chief Technical Officer.
