John Galyen was named President of Danfoss North America, a $1.6B subsidiary and the company’s largest market, in May 2011. He joined Danfoss in 2001 and has held various management level positions prior to his appointment as president.

With over 30 years of industry experience, John serves in leadership capacities of the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute, where he is a member of the Executive Committee, Board, the Budget & Investment and Audit Committees.

He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Northwood University. He has also completed a Strategic Leadership Programme at Ashridge Business School-Hertfordshire, UK.
Danfoss, a leader in energy efficiency technologies, has sales of $7 billion, employs more than 27,000 people worldwide and operates in over 100 countries manufacturing high-efficiency components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, motion systems, and mobile hydraulics.
