John Madziyire | Source | Senior Portfolio Manager, Head of US Treasuries / TIPS at Vanguard

John is a senior portfolio manager and head of Treasuries and Inflation in the Vanguard Fixed Income Group. He is responsible for managing the Treasury and TIPs sectors for Vanguard's actively managed fixed income portfolios and is the head of the Treasury and TIPs sector team. John joined Vanguard in December 2017 as a portfolio manager and head of European rates. In this role, he led the European rates strategy and managed the European rates exposure across all active fixed income portfolios. Before coming to Vanguard, he was most recently with AXA Investment Managers for 11 years as a portfolio manager across U.K., Euro, and Global government bond portfolios. Before that, he spent 3 years at Legal and General Investment Management as an assistant fund manager and risk analyst. John earned a BCom honours in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management and a BCom in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town. He is a CFA® charterholder.
