U.S. law firms leased a record total amount of office space in 2023, commercial real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield said on Thursday, signaling the legal industry's relative bullishness on in-person work since the pandemic.
Law firms in 2023 accounted for 8.8% of all office sector leasing activity in the 10 major legal markets that Cushman & Wakefield tracks, the brokerage said. Law firms made up 4.9% of total leasing activity in 2022.
