Joya Misra, Professor of Sociology and Public Policy, is the Director of the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst - serving a three year term that begins in September 2019. She is also the current Vice-President of the American Sociological Association, and a recent Samuel F. Conti Faculty Fellowship Award winner.
