Jyima Oforia-Atta is a certified personal trainer and holistic coach. He is also the owner of The Jyim fitness studio in Los Angeles. They specialize in personal training and group fitness. They work with athletes, people with chronic illnesses and ordinary people looking to get fit. Jyima's approach blends functional nutrition, stress management, philosophy and exercise science.
Before Jyima became a personal trainer, he played college basketball at Salem State University where he was also a team captain. During that time he was also a summer league coach for the men's basketball varsity team at Doherty Memorial High School. Later he served as a strength and conditioning coach for Quinsigamond Community College. After becoming a personal trainer at Equinox, he discovered that he needed to open his own fitness studio.
