Karen Owoc, ACSM-CEP, ACSM-CET is a clinical exercise physiologist in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center, author/speaker, and private medical fitness trainer. She promotes functional longevity speaking on How to Live Longer Without Growing Older™ and through her AgeStrong™ longevity program.
Karen has been the weekly TV health expert on KRON 4 News in San Francisco for the past five years, speaking on all aspects of healthy living in over 215 television interviews. Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, Karen focuses on the fascinating findings of human longevity and the centenarian lifestyle.
Because of her love for sports and family history of early-onset heart disease and stroke, Karen focused on a career path where food and exercise are used to treat, manage, and prevent disease. She released her first book in 2022, “Athletes in Aprons: The Nutrition Playbook to Break 100” on functional longevity. Her motto: "Your age is a given. Growing old is a choice.™"
