Kristin is an Assistant Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is an interdisciplinary scientist at heart. Combining her desire to understand the world through a chemical lens with her love of rocks and minerals (with a collection to match), Kristin began a research career combining both interests through a circuitous route which has consequentially prepared her to explore complex problems.
