Kyung (Kathryn) Dickerson is a principal at SmolenPlevy in Vienna, Virginia. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and George Mason University School of Law, where she served on the Board of Editors for the Journal of International Legal Studies.
Ms. Dickerson, throughout her career, has served not only her clients but also her community in various capacities. She has served as a volunteer for the Vienna Womens Center for years and has worked on behalf of Devotion to Children, a local charity which provides work-related childcare services to families in need. Ms. Dickerson is a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and has taught a number of Continuing Legal Education classes and well as spoken at various regional and national conferences over the course of her career. Additionally, she presently serves as a member of The Judicial Inquiry and Review Commission (JIRC).
Ms. Dickerson is also presently General Counsel for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Virginia and has served as President of the organization and on its Board of Directors. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association and served as its President. She has served on numerous committees of the Fairfax Bar Association and as President of its Young Lawyers Section and as Co-Chair of the Revenue Development Committee.
She was a member of the Virginia State Bar’s Special Committee on Lawyer Malpractice Insurance and a faculty member of the Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Course. She was a member of the George Mason University School of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors and has served as its President.
