Lamar Laing is an industry-leading full-stack web developer and software engineer known for his creative approach and deep understanding of consumer insights that drive his clients ahead of the competition. Over the last decade, Laing has worked with clients from booming tech startups to Fortune 500 companies and government agencies to elevate their consumer-facing websites and programs to help them increase company revenue, client retention, and industry visibility. Specializing in PHP, Javascript, and MySQL programming, Laing leverages real-time analytics that uncover consumer trends and behaviors to build responsive websites and programs that lead to higher customer conversion rates.
In 2009, he founded Laing Media, a remote full-service and data-driven web development, SEO, and social media management company. This agency focuses on helping small to medium-sized businesses expand their audience reach through digital interactions that turn potential customers into loyal brand advocates. By 2016, a majority of Laing Media’s client base experienced increases over 115% in monthly page visits and average sessions. Under his leadership, he and a team of skilled developers launched CredKred in 2020, the first do-it-yourself credit repair service software that allows users to develop their own dispute letters and learn the process of credit repair without having to pay thousands of dollars.
Born to immigrant parents from Jamaica, Laing developed a curiosity for what drives society forward from a very young age. His father, a visual artist and sculptor, instilled a passion for understanding that creativity drives innovation. Laing used his passion for music and the arts throughout his childhood and early adult years to find the balance between creative development and data and analytics. This unique perspective has earned him the reputation of having a unique approach that observes even the most formidable obstacles, from engineering to societal challenges, from every angle.
Laing has dedicated his career to elevating the next generation of future leaders in the Black community. In his spare time, he mentors young Black men and women to discover the intersection of creative and STEM-related skills that will set them up to secure opportunities and professions critical for the future generation of innovation. He also mentors young engineers on the future of blockchain technology.
Laing is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, and remotely serves clients around the globe.
