Laura Marbury is Senior Manager of Community Wellness for The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit with the mission of proactively promoting and protecting the interests of the Southeast dairy farm families. Marbury is a registered dietitian and joined The Dairy Alliance in 2013. In her current role, she connects with health professionals, educators and consumers to share the latest nutrition and dairy information. Throughout her tenure with The Dairy Alliance, Marbury has appeared on various media outlets and has written for newspapers and magazines in the Southeast. She also serves as a subject matter expert for the organization, developing content for the website and social accounts.
Prior to joining The Dairy Alliance, Marbury gained extensive health and wellness experience as a clinical dietitian at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. She provided nutrition recommendations and education to oncology, obstetric and pediatric patients.
Laura Marbury received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Mississippi. As an undergrad, she combined her dietetic background and media interests as an intern for Southern Living’s test kitchen and editorial department. Marbury completed a dietetic internship and earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was selected for the Maternal and Child Health Bureau’s pediatric nutrition traineeship program.
