LJ Govoni is the CEO and Co-Founder of Seaboard Craft Beer Holdings, which includes Big Storm Brewery and Distillery, Fat Point Brewing Co, Darwin Brewing and Blood Brothers Bloody Mary Mix / Boston Capital Leasing / InstantKegs.com.
After working at a private equity firm and not feeling fulfilled, Govoni decided he wanted to do something he enjoys. In 2012, he took a leap into the craft beer industry, founding Big Storm Brewing in Pasco County, Florida.
The brewery now has five taprooms in the Sunshine State — Clearwater, Ybor City, Orlando, Odessa and Cape Coral. Big Storm has embraced its tagline of “Florida’s Craft Beer Forecast,” by developing a dynamic lineup of Florida favorites like Tropic Pressure Florida Ale, steeped with hibiscus flowers, and Sunny Key Lime, brewed with key lime puree. The brewery is the first in the state to use carbon recapture technology to reduce its environmental footprint.
Govoni has expanded his reach buying popular local Florida breweries and vendors including Darwin Brewing, Fat Point Brewing Co, and Blood Brothers Bloody Mary Mix.

Big Storm Brewing Co. will be opening its fifth location this Saturday, February 11 in the heart of Ybor City. Located at 1600 East 7th Avenue, the 11,000 square-foot taproom and restaurant takes over the previous Hamburger Mary’s space.
