Luis Amador, General Manager of Moody’s Analytics CRE, has worked in the commercial real estate, structured finance, and fixed income markets for over twenty years building and scaling various product lines.
As the Head of Commercial Real Estate Solutions, Luis leads a team that provides integrated workflow solutions, data, market forecasts, analytics, and insights to lenders, investors, asset managers, brokers, owners, government agencies, risk managers, and the commercial real estate industry at large.
Luis has engaged with numerous financial institutions, insurance companies, and investment funds to provide solutions for acquisition, origination, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, trading and securitization. Luis has also helped develop regulatory- based solutions for stress testing, investor reporting and auditing.
Prior to his current role, Luis was the Chief Operating Officer for Trepp LLC, overseeing the growth of their market leading CMBS product and launch of new initiatives across technology, and quantitative finance teams.
He was also a Managing Director for Moody’s Wall Street Analytics (MWSA) – an innovative financial technology company that was acquired by Moody’s Analytics in 2006 - and oversaw the launch of several products for the structured finance markets. Prior to joining MWSA, Luis spent two years as an Assistant Vice President in the Securitization Analytics Group at Bank of New York Mellon.
Luis has given numerous presentations regarding the importance of leveraging data, analytics, and advanced technology to maximize informed decisions by financial market participants and is an active member of several advisory boards.
