Mao Shixing (Discus Fish)
As one of the earliest cryptocurrency pioneers, Discus Fish is highly respected as a thought leader within the global Chinese cryptocurrency community. Since his foray into cryptocurrency as early as 2011, Discus Fish has been instrumental in shaping the industry and played a key role in educating and promoting digital assets, by helping to establish the first Chinese Bitcoin forum, BTCMAN, and the first Litecoin forum, LTCBBS.
Later, he co-founded Yibite, the premier Chinese Bitcoin portal, as well as F2Pool, the first mining pool for Chinese miners and one of the largest in the world. Discus Fish wrote the very first Chinese-language mining tutorial and introduced the 24-hour settlement protocol, which later became an industry standard for mining pools worldwide. In 2017, Discus Fish co-founded Cobo together with Dr Changhao Jiang.
