From my education and decades-long career as a Fortune 100 corporate attorney and director and now CEO of Chicago’s leading empowerment organizations for women leaders, my journey has been one of overcoming obstacles and seizing opportunities. I was born in the U.S. but spoke little English until kindergarten. Every professional success has been hard won and made possible by a great education that helped me discover the most powerful asset in my proverbial toolbox: my voice. But none of my accomplishments would have been possible without my parents’ hard work and sacrifices.
