Dr. Marissa Abram is a PhD prepared Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is licensed to practice in the state of New York. With a sub specialty in addiction treatment, Dr. Abram is a Certified Addiction Registered Nurse-Advanced Practice (CARN-AP) and a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). Dr. Abram obtained her PhD from Adelphi University’s College of Nursing and Public Health and her Master’s degree in Psychiatry and Mental Health from Stony Brook University. She is an Assistant Professor at Adelphi University’s College of Nursing and Public Health. She is currently a psychiatric consultant for local hospitals and has extensive experience in general psychiatry, emergency psychiatry. She provides outpatient addiction treatment at a county clinic focusing on co-occurring disorders. She is the founder of Strategic Wellness Management, a private practice serving adolescents and adults.
