Mark challenges his Manufacturing and Engineering clients is to deliver productivity improvement of 25% more work with the same numbers of staff. Productivity gains of 2-3% are easy!! 25% requires a challenge to thinking, a passion and drive for Operational Excellence.
His experience from the shop floor to Operations Director is that many organisations can vastly improve their productivity with knowledge of the right Operations Management and Employee Engagement techniques. These include Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools which drive efficiency gains.
If you were born in the 80's you've drunk, eaten, or washed with something Mark has made. Making everything from Quavers and Square Crisps, carbonated drinks, coleslaws, humous, chilled soups to toothpastes, shower gels, shampoos and conditioners for all the main UK supermarkets. He used to really fast moving (FMCG) manufacturing and high growth markets.
He's held spells in finance organisations, driving customer understanding and Customer Value propositions to improve products and processes. He's also developed an annual lecture for Leeds University Business School which has been attended by over 4,000 students.
These days he's moved into more engineering production environments having overseen the manufacturing and assembly of world leading printing equipment, wind turbines, agricultural farm machinery, oil seed presses and PCs. He helps organisations develop their team leaders and Operations Managers. This can include investigating Reshoring, Outsourcing and the full optimisation of the Supply Chain.
He holds a Masters in Manufacturing Engineering & Management, which he gained in 1993. A long suffering Evertonian, is there any other? since the Bob Latchford 30 goals season (1978š±)
