Mr. Turner joined Gateway Foundation in December 2017 as the President of the Community Services Division. In this role, he is responsible for leading all Community-based Outpatient & Residential Programs across Illinois, Delaware, and California. Apart from managing the strategy and operations for Community Programs, Mr. Turner also oversees Call Center Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Quality Improvements. Since coming to Gateway, Mr. Turner and his team have converted to a new Electronic Health Record system and opened specialty programs including OUT IN RECOVERY.
Mr. Turner comes with a strong background of over 25 years of experience in Addiction Treatment. He has significant leadership expertise in running for-profit and not-for-profit addiction treatment centers throughout the country, specializing in high- quality care with long term sustainable growth plans.
Before joining Gateway, Mr. Turner worked with American Addiction Centers for 5 years and managed multi-site treatment centers as the CEO. Before joining AAC, he spent about 12 years with Palmetto Behavioral Health System based out of Charleston, South Carolina. He held key positions in that organization before assuming the role of the CEO.
Mr. Turner holds a Master’s of Science degree in Adult Education and Industrial Sociology and a B.A. in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
