NAEYC is the leading research-based early childhood organization in the United States. It guides practitioners on relevant ECE (Early Childhood Education) topics and methodology. NAEYC sets standards for high quality childhood programs based on DAP (Developmentally Appropriate Practices) and oversees national accreditation. DAP is foundational to ECE and the gold standard of educational practices.
The Governor of Alabama has banned the DAP publication from being used in schools and by educators. This is an attack on the bedrock of quality early childhood education.
